LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Nancy Conley upon the occasion of her
retirement after 20 years of distinguished service to the Orchard Park
Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, For the past 20 years, Nancy Conley rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the Orchard Park Chamber of
Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Conley began her career with the Orchard Park Chamber
of Commerce in 1988, as a Health Insurance Specialist, a position she
held until being selected Executive Director in 1995, a title from which
she will officially retire on May 1, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Nancy Conley was a great advocate for
procuring small group insurance premiums for sole proprietorships, as
well as serving as liaison between the New York State Department of
Transportation and the business community during road reconstruction on
North Buffalo Street from 2001-2003; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Conley is also credited for the Orchard Park Chamber of
Commerce's growth into the largest chamber in the Southtowns of New
York; and
WHEREAS, In her capacity as Executive Director, Nancy Conley served
with loyalty, honor and distinction; in addition, she was known for her
organizational skills and her articulate attention to detail while
running her office; and
WHEREAS, In her official acts, Nancy Conley was governed by a keen
sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; and
WHEREAS, During her tenure with the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce,
Nancy Conley earned the admiration, esteem and affection of her
colleagues; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nancy Conley upon the occasion of her retirement after 20 years of
distinguished service to the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nancy Conley.
