LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Jenna Volpe Caufield upon the
occasion of her induction into the Fontbonne Academy Hall of Fame on May
6, 2015
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Jenna Volpe Caufield upon the occasion of her induction into the
Fontbonne Academy Hall of Fame, to be celebrated at its Fleur de Lys
Dinner Dance, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Gargiulo's Restaurant,
Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Fontbonne Hall Academy, an all-girls, private, Roman Catholic
high school in Brooklyn, New York, was established in 1937, by the
Sisters of St. Joseph, and is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese
of Brooklyn; and
WHEREAS, Jenna Volpe Caufield was born on March 23, 1985, to Edward
and Susan Volpe; prior to attending Fontbonne Hall Academy, she was
educated at P.S. 203, and Andries Hudde Junior High School, Brooklyn;
and
WHEREAS, Upon graduating in 2003, Jenna Volpe Caufield earned her
bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Scranton,
Pennsylvania; while pursuing her degree, she spent a semester abroad in
Rome, Italy, attending John Cabot University; after college, she spent
her summer backpacking throughout Europe; and
WHEREAS, Jenna Volpe Caufield began her illustrious career as an Exec-
utive Assistant at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, where she worked closely
with the attorneys; and
WHEREAS, After attending her five year reunion at Fontbonne Hall Acad-
emy, Jenna Volpe Caufield realized she wanted to work for her alma
mater; for the last six years, she has held several positions including
Faculty Advisor, Student Activities Council Moderator, and Year Coordi-
nator for the senior class; and
WHEREAS, Jenna Volpe Caufield furthered her education by obtaining her
master's degree in Social Studies Secondary Education from Brooklyn
College in December of 2013; utilizing her skills, she worked with
Google to pilot a new web-based virtual classroom at Fontbonne Hall
Academy; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her husband, James, who feels
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in her achievements;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Jenna Volpe Caufield upon the occasion of her induction
into the Fontbonne Academy Hall of Fame; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jenna Volpe Caufield.
