LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring John Buntich upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2014 Community Impact Award by the Boys
& Girls Club of Albany
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor John
Buntich upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the 2014
Community Impact Award by the Boys & Girls Club of Albany; this auspi-
cious occasion was celebrated at the Boys & Girls Club of Albany's 7th
Annual Red, White and Chocolate benefit on Thursday, November 13, 2014;
and
WHEREAS, John Buntich is an operation director for the Ninety Nine
restaurants and is responsible for the operations of seven restaurants
in New York; he has been with the Ninety Nine for twenty years and
currently oversees a team that consists of 30 managers and over 280 team
members; and
WHEREAS, John Buntich has been involved with the Albany Boys & Girls
Club for 11 years, many of those years, as a Board Member and prior
Board Vice President; he and his teams in New York work directly to
support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany, Rotterdam, Utica and Burling-
ton, Vermont; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed man helped the Ninety Nine develop and nurture
its relationship with the Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the Northeast;
he currently leads the team responsible for developing and executing
plans for fundraising for the clubs; during October's Boys & Girls Club
Month, the 104 Ninety Nine restaurants raised over $550,000 which will
go directly to the 70 clubs they are affiliated with; and
WHEREAS, In 2014, John Buntich was invited by the Northeast Area Coun-
cil of Boys & Girls Clubs of America to participate in their annual
conference in Puerto Rico; he also represents the Albany Club at the
area council in the capital region; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, John Buntich is a passionate fundraiser for the
Dana Farber Cancer Institute and many local charities here in Upstate
New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor John Buntich upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2014 Community Impact Award by the Boys & Girls Club of Albany; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John Buntich.
