LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr. upon the occa-
sion of his designation as recipient of the 2014 Community Impact Award
by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr. upon the occasion of his designation as recipi-
ent of the 2014 Community Impact Award by the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Albany; this auspicious occasion was celebrated at the Boys & Girls
Clubs of Albany's Red, White and Chocolate benefit on Thursday, November
13, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr. is the broker and co-owner of both
Coldwell Banker and Prime Properties residential and commercial real
estate companies; he is also a managing member of Prime Companies, which
owns and develops apartment complexes, residential subdivisions, hotels
and retail shopping; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed man is also the founder of Home Funding
Finders, Inc., a residential mortgage company, which grew to be one of
the most successful area mortgage companies until it was sold in 2010 to
SEFCU Mortgage Services, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr. has been in the hospi-
tality business for over 30 years and has developed successful partner-
ships with national franchisors; and
WHEREAS, A vital part of numerous civic and charitable organizations,
Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr. is a member of the Board of Trustees at Siena
College as well as a Trustee for Catholic Charities; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr. is also responsible for the redevel-
opment of Camp Skully and active with Coaches vs. Cancer, which raises
funds for cancer research; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr. has been a tremendous supporter of
the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany, serving as a vital Board Member who
has led by philanthropic example; he has played a large part in helping
to secure donations for the Clubs' ongoing quest to move into a new
location, which will better serve the needs of Albany's most at risk
children; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr. upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the 2014 Community Impact Award by the Boys & Girls Clubs
of Albany; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kenneth M. Raymond, Jr.
