LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Robbie Green upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Robbie Green upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Robbie Green, Vice President of Robert Green Chevrolet, was
selected for this esteemed recognition for being hardworking, ambitious,
and creative; and
WHEREAS, The son of Robert S. Green, Robbie Green has been part of his
family business, Robert Green Chevrolet, since he was 14 years old; he
began his illustrious career in the parts department before moving on to
servicing vehicles; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Monticello High School, Robbie Green earned a
bachelor's degree in business and finance from the University at Albany;
upon returning home, he served as a Salesman for Robert Green Chevrolet,
before being promoted to General Manager; and
WHEREAS, Today, 27-year-old Robbie Green serves as Vice President of
this worthy firm established by his grandfather in 1972; he employs 80
employees across four buildings located in Monticello, New York; and
WHEREAS, In addition to selling cars, Robbie Green's duties and
responsibilities include servicing commercial vehicles from all over the
northeast, and upfitting trucks to sell to other dealerships; the deal-
ership also includes a Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep division, as well as a
commercial truck division; and
WHEREAS, Robbie Green's philosophy is securing good business relation-
ships with commercial businesses, which means return customers; he
relishes interacting with other family businesses in his community; and
WHEREAS, Aside from managing the empire that Robert Green Chevrolet
has become, Robbie Green devotes his time and energies to the Rock Hill
Fire Department; he currently holds the esteemed position of Lieutenant;
and
WHEREAS, Robbie Green looks forward to continuing to expand on the
business his father and grandfather built into one of the most impres-
sive dealerships in the region, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Robbie Green upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Robbie Green.
