LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jared Kaufman upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jared Kaufman upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Jared Kaufman, Sales/Service Representative at PN Alarm, was
selected for this esteemed recognition for being hardworking, ambitious,
and creative; and
WHEREAS, A Monticello native, Jared Kaufman graduated from Monticello
High School in 1996, and earned his bachelor's degree in business admin-
istration from SUNY New Paltz before entering his family business; and
WHEREAS, Today, Jared Kaufman serves as a Sales/Service Representative
at PN Alarm located in Monticello, New York; his primary responsibil-
ities include designing and installing camera and security systems for
residential and commercial clients; and
WHEREAS, PN Alarm was founded by Jared Kaufman's grandfather, Norman
Kaufman, 55 years ago, and is currently managed by his father, Steven L.
Kaufman; Jared relishes being a part of a third-generation family firm,
and gains great satisfaction knowing he keeps other families and busi-
nesses safe and secure; and
WHEREAS, Active in his community as well as his profession, Jared
Kaufman is involved in fundraising for several organizations throughout
Sullivan County; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Jared Kaufman and his wife, Julie, were the
co-chairs of the annual WVOS/WSUL Heart-A-Thon, where they represented
the entire Kaufman family in making a significant donation to the Cats-
kill Regional Medical Center's Birthing Unit in memory of his great
uncle and great aunt; and
WHEREAS, Outside of work, Jared Kaufman enjoys running, golfing, bike
riding, hiking, and traveling, including to Florida and Israel; togeth-
er, he and his wife enjoy attending concerts at Bethel Woods Center for
the Arts; and
WHEREAS, Jared Kaufman looks forward to seeing his family's legacy
passed down from generation to generation for many years to come, fully
confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling successes it has
experienced thus far; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jared Kaufman upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jared Kaufman.
