LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring James Creaser upon the occasion of being
named an Outstanding Student by the Capital District YMCA on May 14,
2015

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
James Creaser upon the occasion of being named an Outstanding Student by
the Capital District YMCA to be celebrated at its 10th Annual Student
and Educator Awards Breakfast Reception, on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at
the Sarazen Student Union, Siena College, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, This commendation honors high school students and educators
for their dedication to service in their schools, community, and local
YMCA; and
WHEREAS, James Creaser is currently a junior at Watervliet Junior-Sen-
ior High School; this exceptional young man is extremely dedicated in
giving back to both his school and his community; and
WHEREAS, For many years, James Creaser has participated in various
volunteer activities such as working at the local food bank, cleaning up
city streets, and spending time at his neighborhood senior center; and
WHEREAS, In his school, James Creaser is a class officer, and an
active member of No Place for Hate, an anti-bullying education program;
he is committed to making his school and community a better place,
constantly giving back without expecting anything in return; and
WHEREAS, With a sense of civic duty and his commitment to others,
James Creaser represents the best development of the potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to wish James Creaser continued success throughout his school years
and beyond; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor James Creaser upon the occasion of being named an Outstanding
Student by the Capital District YMCA on May 14, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to James Creaser.
