LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Ryan Ronzoni upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Senior Scholar Humanities Award by the
Orange-Ulster BOCES on May 1, 2015

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Ryan Ronzoni
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Senior Scholar
Humanities Award by the Orange-Ulster BOCES celebrated at its Second
Annual Awards Breakfast, on May 1, 2015, at Kuhl's Highland House,
Middletown, New York; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious award recognizes outstanding high school
students for their accomplishments and/or performances in the arts,
including fine arts, theater, and music; and
WHEREAS, Ryan Ronzoni has distinguished himself as a young man of
superlative ability, talent, and maturity, establishing standards of
excellence and achievement, purposefulness of life, and responsibility
rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, A Senior at Goshen High School, Goshen, New York, Ryan Ronzo-
ni has plans to attend Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, after grad-
uating; he intends to major in Environmental Science in Sustainability
in the school's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences; and
WHEREAS, A multi-talented musician, Ryan Ronzoni plays many instru-
ments including guitar, trombone, baritone horn, piano, and various
forms of percussion; and
WHEREAS, Throughout high school, Ryan Ronzoni has participated in
numerous performances with the Jazz Band, Stage Band, Orchestra, the
All-County Music Festival, and NYSSMA, as well as several variety shows
and fund-raisers; and
WHEREAS, For three years, Ryan Ronzoni has been a vital member of his
school's Varsity Baseball Team, and plays on a local travel team during
both Summer and Fall months; in addition, he enjoys playing golf in his
spare time; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for his classmates, Ryan Ronzoni
has brought honor to his family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Ryan Ronzoni may stand with pride in his achievements, expe-
riencing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his accomplish-
ments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as he continues
his education; and
WHEREAS, Ryan Ronzoni represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young man, recognizing his achievements and the promise of his
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ryan Ronzoni upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Senior Scholar Humanities Award by the Orange-Ulster BOCES, and to
wish him well in his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ryan Ronzoni.
