LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Lawley Genesee upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Women of Distinction Corporate/Social
Responsibility Award by the Genesee County YWCA on June 13, 2015

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Lawley Genesee upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of the
Women of Distinction Corporate/Social Responsibility Award by the Gene-
see County YWCA, to be celebrated at its inaugural Women of Distinction
Awards Gala on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Stuart Steiner Theatre, Gene-
see Community College, Batavia, New York; and
WHEREAS, Lawley Genesee is a leading insurance company in Batavia, New
York which provides business insurance for all size organizations, agri-
culture and farming insurance, employee benefits for small to large
businesses, and personal auto, home and umbrella insurance policies; and
WHEREAS, With nine branches throughout New York, Connecticut and New
Jersey, Lawley Genesee has 370 employees, 15 of whom work out of its
Batavia office; and
WHEREAS, This vital agency is being honored with this auspicious award
for its steadfast and tireless dedication to its community, giving of
its time, energies, funds and compassion to countless organizations; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous direction of its branch partner, Bill
Fritts, Lawley Genesee's staff members are encouraged to participate in
its volunteer efforts which include United Way's Day of Caring, corpo-
rate challenges, serving on boards, helping with charities and meeting
staff needs; and
WHEREAS, Community service is a part of Lawley Genesee's company
philosophy, transcending customer relationships; the agency is truly
committed to helping and encouraging those going through hardships; and
WHEREAS, The success of Lawley Genesee is in direct correlation to the
efforts of its dedicated staff, whose involvement is, and always has
been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusi-
asm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on
behalf of the business and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Lawley Genesee upon the occasion of its designation as recipient
of the Women of Distinction Corporate/Social Responsibility Award by the
Genesee County YWCA on June 13, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Lawley Genesee.
