LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Nancy Faccone upon the occasion of being
named the 2014 Woman on the Move by the Arthritis Foundation of North-
eastern New York
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Faccone has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Nancy Faccone
upon the occasion of being named the 2014 Woman on the Move by the
Arthritis Foundation of Northeastern New York; this momentous occasion
was celebrated with a Cocktail Reception on Thursday, October 16, 2014,
at Prime at Saratoga National, Saratoga Springs, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Annual Women on the Move celebration honors women of
achievement who are role models in their professional, philanthropic and
individual endeavors; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of both Russell Sage and Albany Law School, Nancy
Faccone serves as UnitedHealthcare's Northeast Regional Counsel for
provider network management where she is responsible for various initi-
atives related to healthcare reform; and
WHEREAS, Prior to her position with UnitedHealthcare, Nancy Faccone
began her illustrious career representing individuals with disabilities
seeking access to healthcare services; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Faccone went on to serve as a Director in the MVP
Health Care Legal Department and as an Associate Attorney in the New
York State Department of Financial Services' Health Bureau; and
WHEREAS, This exceptional woman has been called upon to contribute her
time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Active within the community she so ably serves, Nancy Faccone
is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the New York
Bar Association; she has served as a Board Member of the Southern Sara-
toga YMCA, as well as the New York State Commission on Quality of Care
and Advocacy for People with Disabilities; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Nancy Faccone has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nancy Faccone upon the occasion of being named the 2014 Woman on
the Move by the Arthritis Foundation of Northeastern New York on October
16, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nancy Faccone.
