LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Jill Michelle Deblock upon the
occasion of being named the 2015-2016 Orange County Dairy Princess

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and leaders
of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the ideals
and values cherished by citizens of this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Jill Michelle Deblock upon the occasion of being named the
2015-2016 Orange County Dairy Princess; she was crowned at a ceremony
held on Saturday, May 9, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The Dairy Princess program, sponsored by the American Dairy
Association and Dairy Council, seeks to highlight the nutrition and
importance of dairy products while also fostering a deeper appreciation
of local dairy farmers within the community; and
WHEREAS, A native of New Hampton, New York, Jill Michelle Deblock is a
student at SUNY New Paltz, and a devoted member of her community; and
WHEREAS, In her role as 2015-2016 Orange County Dairy Princess, Jill
Michelle Deblock looks forward to conducting numerous activities to help
educate children and consumers about local dairy farmers and the bene-
fits of dairy products; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Jill Michelle Deblock will attend school
programs and local events with a goal of spreading the word about dairy
products and closing the gap between farmers and consumers; and
WHEREAS, Through her active involvement in the community and her
sincere dedication to local dairy farming, Jill Michelle Deblock is a
true role model for her peers; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
young woman now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments
and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appre-
ciating the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers and
parents; and
WHEREAS, Jill Michelle Deblock exemplifies the best potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; she has brought
enduring honor to her family and her community through her many achieve-
ments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Jill Michelle Deblock upon the occasion of being named the
2015-2016 Orange County Dairy Princess, and to wish her continued
success in all her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jill Michelle Deblock.
