LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Al Vazquez, Owner of Active World
Promotional & Marketing Solutions, upon the occasion of his designation
for special recognition by the Local Development Corporation of East New
York on June 4, 2015

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Al
Vazquez, Owner of Active World Promotional & Marketing Solutions, upon
the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the Local
Development Corporation of East New York celebrated at its 35th Annual
Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at The Liberty Warehouse,
Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Al Vazquez, Owner of Active World Promotional & Marketing
Solutions, is being recognized with this esteemed honor for his
outstanding effort to help reduce poverty and promote prosperity in East
New York; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1999, and with a staff which has over 100
years of combined experience in the industry, Active World Promotional &
Marketing Solutions focuses on providing apparel and other promotional
products for individuals and companies which want to create a positive
image for themselves; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous leadership of Owner Al Vazquez, Active
World Promotional & Marketing Solutions strives to create a company
which values relationships with its customers, employees, and vendors;
in doing so, the company meets its goals of offering a superior product
which will ensure their future growth and success; and
WHEREAS, Founded 35 years ago, the Local Development Corporation of
East New York (LDCENY) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to
making East Brooklyn a better place to live and work; and
WHEREAS, LDCENY empowers low-to-moderate income women and minorities
with programs which promote economic sufficiency, build assets and
improve their lives and those of their families; and
WHEREAS, This vital organization works with local businesses to retain
and build industry and commerce, create jobs and improve economic oppor-
tunities for local residents and neighborhood enterprises; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous leadership of Executive Director Sherry
Roberts, LDCENY offers its clients numerous services and programs,
including Starting a Business, Grow Your Business, Money Management,
Mentoring Program, Workshops and Seminars, Small Business Financing, and
Professional Development, as well as a Women's Business Center; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those organiza-
tions which enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and
have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have
earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Al Vazquez, Owner of Active World Promotional & Marketing
Solutions, upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition
by the Local Development Corporation of East New York on June 4, 2015;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Al Vazquez, Owner, Active World Promotional & Marketing
Solutions.
