LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Nancy Kupiec upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the John Beaudoin Compassion Award by the
St. Paul's Center

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Kupiec has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Nancy Kupiec
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the John Beaudoin
Compassion Award by the St. Paul's Center which was celebrated at its
Bountiful Hearts and Harvest Reception on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at
Taste in Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious award is given to an individual who has been
instrumental in creating a better life for the homeless women and chil-
dren served by the St. Paul's Center; Nancy Kupiec is such an individ-
ual; and
WHEREAS, Since its inception in 2006, St. Paul's Center has provided a
warm, nurturing, and home-like environment where mothers have the oppor-
tunity to become equipped and empowered to make a successful transition
to independent living to begin a healthier life for themselves and their
children; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Kupiec has been instrumental in helping with the reno-
vation of St. Paul's Center, and has dedicated her efforts to ensuring
homeless individuals and mothers living in poverty have shelter which is
safe, secure, and of quality; and
WHEREAS, When she is not devoting her time and energies to St. Paul's
Center, this remarkable woman is a Principal with Vesta Construction;
and
WHEREAS, Nancy Kupiec has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Nancy Kupiec has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Nancy Kupiec has displayed through-
out her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nancy Kupiec upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the John Beaudoin Compassion Award by the St. Paul's Center; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nancy Kupiec.
