LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Coach Ron Naclerio upon the occa-
sion of celebrating his 700th career victory as Head Coach of the Benja-
min N. Cardozo High School Boys Basketball Team

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accordance
with its long-standing traditions, to commend notable educators and
athletic coaches who serve the youth of this great Empire State, and who
have distinguished themselves and their schools through outstanding
commitment and exemplary athletic achievement; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Coach Ron Naclerio upon the occasion of celebrating his 700th
career victory as Head Coach of the Benjamin N. Cardozo High School Boys
Basketball Team; and
WHEREAS, Coach Ron Naclerio achieved this historic milestone when his
Benjamin N. Cardozo Judges basketball team defeated Construction High
School 73-61 at home on Monday, December 22, 2014; and
WHEREAS, For the past 34 years, this esteemed man has superbly
mentored and guided young athletes to success on and off the basketball
court; and
WHEREAS, With this victory, Coach Ron Naclerio has become the fourth
coach in New York State boys basketball history to reach the 700 win
mark, and also the second coach to attain this milestone in PSAL histo-
ry; in addition, he has won two PSAL City Championships and is fourth on
the all-time list of career victories; and
WHEREAS, Coach Ron Naclerio's positive demeanor, selfless commitment,
and caring concern have contributed to his enduring success as a coach
and mentor, earning him the just respect and admiration of his communi-
ty, his peers, and the athletes he has so ably coached; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, to
congratulate Coach Ron Naclerio upon the occasion of celebrating his
700th career victory as Head Coach of the Benjamin N. Cardozo High
School Boys Basketball Team; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Coach Ron Naclerio.
