LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Maureen Crocker upon the occasion of her
retirement after 30 years of distinguished service to the Ellenville
Central School District

WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled; its
history and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its educa-
tional professionals and the students they inspire; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant achievements in the distinguished careers of those outstand-
ing educational leaders, whose dedication and accomplishments have been
instrumental in developing character and academic excellence in the
young people of New York State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Maureen Crocker upon the occasion of her retirement after 30 years of
distinguished service to the Ellenville Central School District; and
WHEREAS, This momentous occasion was celebrated at Ellenville's First
Annual Special Education Awards and Retiree Recognition Red Carpet Gala
on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at White Wolf Tent; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Crocker has continually demonstrated an impressive
dedication, an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for
the quality of the educational programs and opportunities offered at the
Ellenville Central School District for the benefit of its faculty and
students, as well as for the entire community; and
WHEREAS, Educators like Maureen Crocker provide a tremendous service
to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of young
people in their educational journeys and ensuring success in their
future years; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Crocker has clearly had an enduring impact on the
youth of the Ellenville Central School District, as well as on the
community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for
her impressive dedication to her students; and
WHEREAS, In completing her service as a teacher, Maureen Cracker
leaves behind more than mere bricks and mortar; she leaves behind a
legacy to the residents of the Ellenville community and to future gener-
ations of its students; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Maureen Crocker upon the occasion of her retirement after 30 years
of distinguished service to the Ellenville Central School District; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Maureen Crocker.
