LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Lions Club of Wantagh upon the occa-
sion of its designation as recipient of the Organization of the Year
Award by the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce on January 14, 2016

WHEREAS, A great community is only as great as those persons and organ-
izations that provide exemplary service, whether through participation
in voluntary programs, through unique personal achievement in their
profession or other endeavors, or simply through a lifetime of good
citizenship; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor those
illustrious individuals and institutions of the State of New York whose
purposeful endeavors serve to enhance the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
Lions Club of Wantagh upon the occasion of its designation as recipient
of the Organization of the Year Award by the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce
to be celebrated at its Annual Installation of Officers and Trustees
Event on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at the Riviera, Massapequa, New
York; and
WHEREAS, It is with great admiration that this Legislative Body
applauds the efforts of all the individuals involved in this vital
organization, and to recognize their unwavering devotion to improving
the quality of life for others; and
WHEREAS, Throughout its distinguished history, the Lions Club of
Wantagh has diligently served the residents of Wantagh, New York, and
its surrounding communities; it has made a difference in every life it
touches and has had a positive impact throughout the entire region; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Lions Club of Wantagh upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Organization of the Year Award by the Wantagh Chamber
of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Lions Club of Wantagh.
