LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Betty Maute upon the occasion of being
named the 2015 Director of the Year by the North Country Public Library
System

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who are devoted to the welfare of their community and its citizen-
ship; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Betty Maute upon the occasion of being named the 2015 Director of the
Year by the North Country Public Library System; and
WHEREAS, Betty Maute is the hard working and dedicated director of the
Fulton Public Library; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Maute was named 2015 Library Director of the Year from a
pool of 65 directors from across Northern New York; and
WHEREAS, She was chosen for her innovative initiatives in Fulton and
throughout Oswego County, including the Fulton Library's recent transi-
tion from a municipal funding model to a school district funding model;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Betty Maute upon the occasion of being named the 2015 Director of
the Year by the North Country Public Library System; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Betty Maute.
