LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating student-athlete Noah Affolder upon
the occasion of his winning the 2015 New York State Class B Cross Coun-
try Championship

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the State of New York who, by
achieving outstanding success in athletic competition, have inspired and
brought pride to their school and community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concerns, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late student-athlete Noah Affolder upon the occasion of his winning the
2015 New York State Class B Cross Country Championship; and
WHEREAS, Noah Affolder, a junior at Carthage High School, won the Boys
Class B race with a time of 15 minutes and 57.2 seconds, to win his
second consecutive New York State Cross Country Championship; and
WHEREAS, Noah Affolder's perseverance in rising through the ranks of
high school cross country players is a strong indication of his ability
to master difficult tasks; his accomplishments will enable him to emerge
as a leader, fully equipped to meet the challenges of today's complex
society; and
WHEREAS, Noah Affolder is a credit to his family, his school, his
community, his State and his Nation, and no doubt his future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
congratulate and honor Noah Affolder upon the occasion of his winning
the 2015 New York State Class B Cross Country Championship; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Noah Affolder.
