LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Steven Branche upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2015 Scholarship Award by the Major
General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Steven Branche upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2015 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter
of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated at the 17th Annual
Tuition Assistance Awards Celebration on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at
Anthony's Pier 9, New Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, A senior at New Paltz High School, Steven Branche is a member
of the baseball, basketball and football teams; and
WHEREAS, Steven Branche plans to continue his family's military tradi-
tion by attending the Air Force Academy to become a pilot, as well as to
study engineering and architecture; he also hopes to continue his base-
ball career on the collegiate level; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his high school career, Steven Branche has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and
WHEREAS, Steven Branche, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excel-
lence he brings to his family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Steven Branche upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the 2015 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., and to extend to him best wishes for a
future of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Steven Branche.
