LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Bill Budd upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2015 Champion of Youth Award by the Troy
Boys & Girls Club on September 24, 2015

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Bill Budd has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Bill
Budd upon the occasion of his designation a recipient of the 2015 Cham-
pion of Youth Award by the Troy Boys & Girls Club, celebrated at its 1st
Annual Great Futures Gala on Thursday, September 24, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Bill Budd is receiving this auspicious award for his commit-
ment and service to the youth at the Troy Boys & Girls Club; and
WHEREAS, Bill Budd is the owner of FX Technologies, a successful
computer consulting firm located in Troy, New York; and
WHEREAS, For the past two years, Bill Budd has generously supported
the club; his donations have been used to enhance programming, which is
opening up new doors for the club's participants and allowing them to
attain higher goals; and
WHEREAS, Moreover, with Bill Budd's assistance, 30 kids in the local
area attended Camp Barker, which is located on 90 acres of pristine
forest tucked away in rural Brunswick; the camp has been providing Capi-
tal District youth with affordable access to nature for decades; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Bill Budd has displayed throughout
his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Bill Budd upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2015 Champion of Youth Award by the Troy Boys & Girls Club on September
24, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bill Budd.
