LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Anna Benson upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 75th Year Membership Pin and Service
Certificate from Monticello Grange No. 1357

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Anna
Benson upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 75th
Year Membership Pin and Service Certificate from Monticello Grange No.
1357, Monticello, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 2015, Monticello Grange No. 1357 celebrated Anna Benson,
past secretary and treasurer, for her uninterrupted and distinguished
seven decades of service with three organization seals; and
WHEREAS, This year, Anna Benson, will be eligible to receive her 75th
year certificate and pin from Monticello Grange No. 1357, an honor which
has seldom been achieved; and
WHEREAS, Monticello Grange No. 1357, founded in 1867, is a nonprofit,
nonpartisan organization which gives its members the opportunity to
advocate for rural America and agriculture; it is one of more than 2,100
Granges across the United States; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Anna Benson has displayed throughout
her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Anna Benson upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 75th Year Membership Pin and Service Certificate from Monticello
Grange No. 1357, Monticello, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Anna Benson.
