LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jessica Carlone upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2016 Scholarship Award by the Major
General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jessica Carlone upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
2016 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter
of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated at the 18th Annual
Tuition Assistance Program on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Anthony's
Pier 9, New Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, A senior at Newburgh Free Academy, Jessica Carlone has
displayed exceptional success throughout her high school career both
academically and athletically; she has been captain of the school's
varsity cheerleading team for two years; and
WHEREAS, Jessica Carlone plans to attend either Quinnipiac University
or Springfield College where she will work towards earning a doctorate
in physical therapy and eventually open her own practice; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her high school career, Jessica Carlone has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and
WHEREAS, Jessica Carlone, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excel-
lence she brings to her family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jessica Carlone upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the 2016 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., and to extend to her best wishes for a
future of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jessica Carlone.
