LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Judith Cahill upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Employee of Distinction Award by Leadin-
gAge New York
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Judith Cahill has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Judith Cahill
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Employee of
Distinction Award by LeadingAge New York, at a ceremony held on Thurs-
day, October 15, 2015, at St. Margaret's Center, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious award is bestowed upon individuals who have
extraordinary dedication to direct service and who have positively
affected the quality of those they serve; and
WHEREAS, For 38 years, Judith Cahill has been an employee at St.
Margaret's Center, a skilled nursing facility providing short-term,
long-term, and respite care to children and young adults with complex
medical needs; she is truly committed to knowing her residents, is very
attentive to their needs and gives excellent feedback in regards to
them; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable woman always makes herself available and has
volunteered much of her personal time to accompany her residents to
numerous functions such as dances, proms, and the annual Center for
Disability Services Telethon, just to name a few; and
WHEREAS, Judith Cahill has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Judith Cahill has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Judith Cahill has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Judith Cahill upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Employee of Distinction Award by LeadingAge New York; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Judith Cahill.
