LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Bishop Harrison Hale for 26 years of
extraordinary service to the Cornerstone Church of God in Christ of
Medford, New York, on January 24, 2016
WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State is nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Bishop
Harrison Hale for 26 years of extraordinary service to the Cornerstone
Church of God in Christ of Medford, New York, celebrated on Sunday,
January 24, 2016; and
WHEREAS, On January 27, 1990, Elder Harrison Hale accepted his Pasto-
ral calling and opened Cornerstone Church Of God In Christ; throughout
his 21 year tenure, he built three churches: Cornerstone Headquarters,
Cornerstone Evangelist Temple Church Of God In Christ, and Cornerstone
Glorious Temple; and
WHEREAS, Through the vision of Bishop Harrison Hale, several minis-
tries and programs have been established at the Cornerstone Church of
God in Christ, including Cornerstone Kiddie Kollege Day Care, Advantage
After School Program, Television Ministry (2 Local Cable Television
Programs), Macedonia Mission Project, The Gospel Power and Cornerstone
TV, Local BET Commercial, News 12 Commercials, Cornerstone Newsletter,
and Cornerstone Cares (Feeding the Hungry), as well as, Children Recre-
ational Study and Training; and
WHEREAS, Other vital ministries and programs include the Food Pantry
and Clothing Ministry, Vocational School and Summer Camp, Harrison Hale
Scholarship Fund, Annual Feed The Children Project with Larry Jones,
Brother's Rehabilitation Program (Support Group), Harrison Hale Humani-
tarian Award, Empowerment Program, Department of Labor SWEP Program, the
Bicycle Drive, Vocational School and Summer Camp and the Community Cafe
and soon to come Cornerstone Diamond Cathedral Christian Culture Center,
and the Harrison Hale Home of the Brave (Housing for homeless veterans),
as well as the release of the Cornerstone Praise Team 1st CD titled
"Bodacious Praise"; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Harrison Hale has brought to his ministry an over-
whelming spirit of charity and compassion, acting from vision and
enlightenment in conducting his administrative and spiritual duties,
while always displaying the highest standards of personal and profes-
sional integrity and dedication; and
WHEREAS, This distinguished man of God has always given enlightenment,
guidance and wisdom to the many entrusted to his care and has adminis-
tered abundantly and unstintingly to the spiritual and corporal needs of
all; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Bishop Harrison Hale for 26 years of extraordinary service to
the Cornerstone Church of God in Christ of Medford, New York, noting his
unremitting and compassionate faith and his exemplary service to God,
man, and his community, and extending to him the heartfelt best wishes
of this Legislative Body for a future of purposeful success and well-be-
ing; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bishop Harrison Hale.
