LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Marian Tribley upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Community Service Lifetime Achievement
Award by the Capital District Senior Issues Forum
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time, this Legislative Body takes note of
remarkable individuals that should be recognized for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing tradition, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Mari-
an Tribley upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Community Service Lifetime Achievement Award by the Capital District
Senior Issues Forum celebrated at its 17th Annual Lifetime Achievement
Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, October 7, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The Capital District Senior Issues Forum is a voluntary
initiative among faith communities, organizations and individuals which
provides support for seniors in the Capital District through education
and dialogue; and
WHEREAS, Since 1998, the Capital District Senior Issues Forum has
focused on senior housing issues, caregivers, faith organizations,
government officials, housing facility and service groups administrators
and lastly seniors themselves have joined together to generate support
for seniors who reside in the Capital District; and
WHEREAS, In that time, this vital forum has grown from its small,
grass roots beginnings to a full-fledged organization which focuses upon
the care and success of seniors; and
WHEREAS, Since 1998, the forum has held 16 ceremonies and has recog-
nized over 676 seniors over the age of 85 for their lifetime achieve-
ments; and
WHEREAS, Marian Tribley is recognized by the Capital District Senior
Issues Forum for being an extraordinary senior, for making a difference
in the lives of others and for giving selflessly through community
service; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when an indi-
vidual of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated by all the citizens of this great empire
state; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Marian Tribley upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the Community Service Lifetime Achievement Award by the Capital
District Senior Issues Forum; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Marian Tribley.
