LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Chief Bobby Troncillito upon the occa-
sion of his retirement after 52 years of dedicated service to the Marl-
boro Fire Department

WHEREAS, The firefighters of New York State are renowned throughout the
Nation; their reputation is synonymous with excellence in the arduous
field of fire protection and prevention; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to commend Chief Bobby Tron-
cillito upon the occasion of his retirement after 52 years of dedicated
service to the Marlboro Fire Department; he officially retired in Janu-
ary of 2016; and
WHEREAS, Since the age of 18, Bobby Troncillito has been a proud
member of the Marlboro Fire Department; he quickly rose through the
ranks, serving as a Lieutenant, Captain, and Assistant Chief while
providing outstanding service to his community; and
WHEREAS, For the past 36 years, Bobby Troncillito has rendered faith-
ful, conscientious and valuable service as Chief of the Marlboro Fire
Department; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed leader has also been an integral part of numer-
ous fire organizations, including both the Ulster County and New York
State Fire Chiefs Associations, and the Ulster County Fire Advisory
Board, as well as the Firemen's Association of the State of New York;
and
WHEREAS, During his illustrious tenure, Chief Bobby Troncillito served
with loyalty, honor and distinction, and was governed by a keen sense of
duty; he has earned the admiration, esteem and affection of his
colleagues; and
WHEREAS, Firefighters and fire departments not only provide the crit-
ical service of fire protection but also engage in other activities of
great benefit and importance to the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, It takes a special dedication, a strong desire to help others
and a tireless sense of community to forsake precious time with family
and friends to respond to the signal that a neighbor is in need; Chief
Bobby Troncillito is such a firefighter; throughout his over five
decades of devoted service, this firefighter heroically performed, above
and beyond the call of duty, those responsibilities which define the
task of fire protection; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Chief Bobby Troncillito upon the occasion of his retirement
after 52 years of dedicated service to the Marlboro Fire Department, and
best wishes to him in all his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution; suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Chief Bobby Troncillito.
