LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending SEFCU upon the occasion of its desig-
nation for special recognition by the Trinity Alliance

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of commitment and high achievement whose
purpose and endeavors prove a dedication to the pursuit of excellence in
community education and wellness of this Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
SEFCU upon the occasion of its designation for special recognition by
the Trinity Alliance celebrated at its Annual Rock Your Style Fashion
Show on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the Peter D. Kiernan Plaza,
Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 1952, Trinity Alliance was founded to provide social,
health and wellness services to its local community; and
WHEREAS, Recently, SEFCU and the State University of New York (SUNY)
Poly Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering have pledged a 3 year
grant to Trinity Alliance for their Capital South Campus Center, the
largest corporate multi-year grant the organization has ever received;
and
WHEREAS, The Capital South Campus Center, located in Albany, New
York's South End, was opened in 2014; since then, the Center has
provided higher education and workforce development for over 1,000
students; and
WHEREAS, SEFCU and SUNY Poly CNSE, through their generosity, are
enabling the Capital South Campus Center to continue to offer services
through their substantial multi-year grant; and
WHEREAS, SEFCU is one of the 50 largest credit unions in the United
States, serving over 300,000 members and 46 branches across New York
State; and
WHEREAS, SEFCU has a long history of investing in their community
through their model of giving back; this vital banking institution oper-
ates branches in financially under-served neighborhoods and encourages
their employees to partake in volunteer activities; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend SEFCU upon the occasion of its designation for special recogni-
tion by the Trinity Alliance; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to SEFCU.
