LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Cania Infante upon the occasion of
being named a Trailblazer 40 Below by CREDIT UNION TIMES Magazine
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Cania Infante has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Cania
Infante upon the occasion of being named a Trailblazer 40 Below by CRED-
IT UNION TIMES Magazine; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Freeport, New York, Cania Infante is the
Assistant Vice President for Marketing at Bethpage Federal Credit Union;
she is being recognized for her collaborative approach to identifying
opportunities and delivering solutions which resonate with members; and
WHEREAS, Cania Infante joined Bethpage Federal Credit Union in 2001,
as a Branch Manager, and was promoted to Business Services Relationship
Manager and Regional Manager, before being appointed to lead Marketing
for the Bethpage Corporate Office; and
WHEREAS, During her illustrious tenure, this esteemed business leader
spearheaded three of Bethpage Federal Credit Union's 2015 CUNA Diamond
Award winning marketing campaigns including the Youth Savings Account
World Cup Campaign which provided a free, branded flag soccer ball to
new customers, and consequently, resulted in the opening of 3,650 youth
savings accounts, and 1,646 youth checking accounts; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Cania Infante is working to strengthen Bethpage
Federal Credit Union's relationship with its Hispanic members with a
direct mail campaign listing each branch's bilingual staff by name and
title; and
WHEREAS, Cania Infante has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, An integral part of her community, Cania Infante currently
serves on the board of the SUNY College at Old Westbury College Council
and The De La Salle School, a tuition-free middle school for children of
immigrant and economically disadvantaged families; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Cania Infante has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Cania Infante has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Cania Infante upon the occasion of being named a Trailblazer 40
Below by CREDIT UNION TIMES Magazine; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Cania Infante.
