LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Christine Hitchcock upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the William B. Joslin Outstanding
Performance Award by New York State Industries for the Disabled
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
just tribute to those citizens who embody the true American spirit,
demonstrating personal courage and determination; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Christine Hitchcock upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled; and
WHEREAS, The Annual Joslin Awards Program of the New York State Indus-
try for the Disabled (NYSID) respectfully acknowledges individuals in
New York communities who strengthen the Preferred Source Program through
jobs well done; and
WHEREAS, Christine Hitchcock has been working at the ARC of Ulster-
Greene's Pilot Industries Ellenville site since 1995; she sincerely
loves her job, and especially enjoys the workday when she is tasked with
assembling NYSID Preferred Source drug-testing kits; she takes great
pride in her position, appearance and the work that she accomplishes;
and
WHEREAS, Over the past year, Christine Hitchcock has increased her
speed, assembling more kits, and has also grown in her self-sufficiency
by voicing her needs while at work; in addition, she loves to work inde-
pendently, which allows her to set her own work pace; and
WHEREAS, The ARC of Ulster-Greene's drug test kits must be assembled
carefully to ensure the product-user receives a kit which functions
perfectly to receive accurate results, Christine Hitchcock truly excels
at this; and
WHEREAS, Christine Hitchcock regards many family members as important
people in her life, but she also acknowledges the friendships she has
made at the ARC of Ulster-Greene's work center; she loves being a part
of a team who depend on her abilities to get the work done; and
WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of her duties and responsibil-
ities, Christine Hitchcock's ongoing efforts and notable achievements
have significantly contributed to bettering the quality of life in her
community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such enduring courage and accomplishment are brought to our
attention, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend those
individuals for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Christine Hitchcock upon the occasion of her designation as recip-
ient of the William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award by New York
State Industries for the Disabled, and to wish her continued success in
all of her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Christine Hitchcock.
