LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring longtime Board Member Lloyd White
posthumously upon the occasion of his designation for special recogni-
tion by the Franklin County Fair Association
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those individuals from this great Empire State who truly made
strong contributions to their communities and who inspired others
through their model citizenship; Lloyd White was one such individual who
died on May 18, 2014, at the age of 79; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd White was born on March 19, 1935, the son of the late
Arthur and Gertrude Howard White; a lifetime resident of North Bangor,
New York, he was a very successful dairy farmer, owning and operating
the White Family farm for many years; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd White was married to the former Dianne Dumas for 48
years, and together they were the loving parents of three children,
Barry White, Lori Poupore, and Lynn Preve; in addition, he was the proud
grandfather of nine wonderful grandchildren, whom he adored and spent
much time with, Evan White, Michelle White, Wallace Poupore, Katie
Poupore, Patrick Poupore, Bradley Poupore, Jordan Preve, Justin Preve,
and Jennifer Preve, as well as one great-granddaughter, Carson Preve,
who was born after his passing; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable man, who served as the Supervisor of North
Bangor for 27 years, was a devout Catholic and a great supporter of St.
Augustine's Church in Bangor, New York; and
WHEREAS, Known and respected by many as a dependable and honest man,
Lloyd White was both a founding member and a 25-year Honorary Member of
the Bangor Volunteer Fire Department; in addition to serving as a Board
Member of the Franklin County Fair Association for more than 25 years,
he was a member of the Maple Leaf Housing Board, the Malone Lodge of
Elks, the Malone Moose Lodge, the Franklin County Cooperative Extension,
and the Chateaugay Co-op where he held the esteemed position of Direc-
tor; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Lloyd White's life was a portrait of service, a legacy which
will long endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting
memory to all he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor longtime Board Member Lloyd White posthumously upon the occasion
of his designation for special recognition by the Franklin County Fair
Association; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Lloyd White.
