LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Bruce Beaudette upon the occasion of his
retirement after 28 years of distinguished service to Sunmark Federal
Credit Union
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed resi-
dents of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Bruce Beaudette upon the occasion of his retirement after 28 years of
distinguished service to Sunmark Federal Credit Union; this auspicious
occasion was celebrated on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Sunmark Federal
Credit Union in Latham, New York; and
WHEREAS, For 28 years, Bruce Beaudette has rendered faithful, consci-
entious and valuable service to Sunmark Federal Credit Union; and
WHEREAS, Bruce Beaudette earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting
from Siena College and is also a graduate of CUNA Management School; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed man led Sunmark Federal Credit Union in its
growth from a single office of eight employees to an organization with
185 associates and 10 branches throughout the Capital Region; it is now
the third largest credit union in the area, with more than 48,000
members; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure, Bruce Beaudette has been involved with the
growth of the credit union movement and has served in an advisory role
on related state and federal issues; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, he was a part of the Credit Union Economics
Group, a member of the Filene Institute National Research Council, the
GE Credit Union Association, President of the Schenectady Chapter of the
New York State Credit Union League, and the Treasurer of CUC Mortgage
Corporation; and
WHEREAS, Committed to giving back to his community, Bruce Beaudette
has volunteered on such non-profit boards as the United Way, Habitat for
Humanity, the Schenectady County Community College Foundation and was
President of the Kiwanis Foundation for many years;
WHEREAS, In addition, Bruce Beaudette has been a mentor in the Sche-
nectady Elementary School System for over 20 years, meeting weekly with
groups of second graders; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Bruce Beaudette upon the occasion of his retirement from Sunmark
Federal Credit Union after more than 28 years of dedicated service; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bruce Beaudette.
