LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Flexovit USA, Inc. upon the occasion
of its designation as Business of the Year by the Evans-Brant Chamber of
Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those businesses throughout the State of New York which have
substantially contributed to the economic vitality of their communities;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Flexovit USA, Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as Business of
the Year by the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated at its
Annual President's Award and Recognition Dinner on Saturday, April 2,
2016, at Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center, Angola, New York; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1977, Flexovit USA, Inc. is an ISO 9001 Certi-
fied manufacturer of high productivity industrial abrasives for portable
power tools, including resin bonded abrasive cutting wheels, grinding
wheels, and coated abrasive flap discs; and
WHEREAS, Fire devastated the facility in July of 1995, leaving almost
all of the manufacturing area destroyed; however, as the result of the
steadfast and unwavering commitment of ownership to its employees and
the community, Flexovit USA, Inc. rebuilt a 100,000 square foot manufac-
turing factory in Angola, New York; and
WHEREAS, Flexovit USA, Inc. was again rocked by disaster in November
of 2014, when the roof over the warehouse and much of the manufacturing
facility collapsed; again, as the result of true hard work and dedi-
cation the company is rebuilding; and
WHEREAS, Currently, within the limited space available, grinding
wheels are being produced, and a second manufacturing factory will be
located at 1305 Eden Evans Center Road in Angola, New York; and
WHEREAS, Even through much adversity, Flexovit USA, Inc. has remained
true to its mission to be the most valued supplier of industrial abra-
sive products to customers that require the highest levels of product
quality, service, and expertise; and
WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 39 year history, Flexovit USA, Inc.
has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and communities
which it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of Flexovit USA, Inc. is in direct correlation to
the efforts of its ownership and staff, whose involvement is, and always
has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthu-
siasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on
behalf of the organization and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges Flexovit USA, Inc.'s contributions to the local and State econo-
mies, and extends its highest commendation to this corporate enterprise,
fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success it
has enjoyed thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Flexovit USA, Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as Busi-
ness of the Year by the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Flexovit USA, Inc.
