LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Fenimore Asset Management upon the
occasion of its designation as Business of the Year by the Schoharie
County Chamber of Commerce
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those businesses throughout the State of New York which have
substantially contributed to the economic vitality of their communities;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Fenimore Asset Management upon the occasion of its designation as Busi-
ness of the Year by the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce, to be
celebrated at its Annual Business Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Friday,
April 1, 2016, at Cavern's Palace, Howe Caves, New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded by Thomas 0. Putnam in 1974, Fenimore Asset Manage-
ment (FAM), located in Cobleskill, New York, offers separately managed
accounts through the Fenimore Private Client Group and is the investment
advisor to FAM Funds mutual funds; and
WHEREAS, Remaining true to its mission to help investors preserve and
grow their wealth, Fenimore Asset Management's team of seasoned profes-
sionals conduct in-depth, independent research and analyze the companies
behind the investments to gain unique insights; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Fenimore Asset Management adheres to a time-
tested, disciplined, and repeatable process to help mitigate risk and
achieve its investors' financial goals; it is this same steadfast
investment approach that has helped this esteemed business navigate
multiple economic and financial market cycles; and
WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 42 year history, Fenimore Asset
Management has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of Fenimore Asset Management is in direct corre-
lation to the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is, and always has
been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusi-
asm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on
behalf of the organization and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges Fenimore Asset Management's contributions to the local and State
economies, and extends its highest commendation to this corporate enter-
prise, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling
success it has enjoyed thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Fenimore Asset Management upon the occasion of its designation
as Business of the Year by the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Fenimore Asset Management, Cobleskill, New York.
