LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Wendy Wollner upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Westchester Business Council Hall of
Fame Award on April 19, 2016

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Wendy Wollner
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Westchester
Business Council Hall of Fame Award on Tuesday, April 19, 2016; and
WHEREAS, For nearly 20 years, Wendy Wollner has been the go-to
resource for companies committed to supporting employees' work/life
balance; after many successful years as a training consultant for a
variety of work/life providers, and earning a Master's Degree in Indus-
trial Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, Wendy launched
Balancing Life's Issues, Inc. in 2001 to expand her scope and network of
workforce support; and
WHEREAS, Wendy Wollner's engaging, authentic style has enticed compa-
nies such as IBM, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of
America, and Donna Karan International to work with Balancing Life's
Issues, Inc. (BLI) repeatedly for more than 15 years; and
WHEREAS, As Founder and President of the national training company,
Wendy Wollner oversees a targeted network of trainers who bring a wide
range of work/life balance programs to corporations, not-for-profit
organizations, employee assistance programs and educational insti-
tutions; popular topics include, emotional intelligence, managing stress
with humor, and health and wellness; and
WHEREAS, Whether encouraging audience members to think differently or
empowering them with new tools, BLI's programs prepare participants to
cope with the stresses of today and face the challenges of tomorrow; and
WHEREAS, Leveraging decades of corporate knowledge and her own very
personal experiences, Wendy Wollner has lectured widely as a keynote
speaker for Fortune 500 companies, educational facilities and health
care industries; she has also provided practical and concrete advice on
work/life balance and parenting as both a speaker and guest on many
radio and television programs; and
WHEREAS, Wendy Wollner's down-to-earth style has earned her respect
and accolades from clients as a sincere, candid and entertaining speak-
er; she has been featured in numerous national publications, including
THE NEW YORK POST, THE JOURNAL NEWS, ENTREPRENEUR'S START-UP, HR MAGA-
ZINE, the CHICAGO TRIBUNE, and SHRM MAGAZINE, as well as CBS News Radio
880; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Wendy Wollner teaches executive leadership and
communication classes for the American Management Association; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Wendy Wollner upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Westchester Business Council Hall of Fame Award on April 19, 2016;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Wendy Wollner.
