LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Natasha Rivera, RN upon the occasion
of her designation for special recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMO-
CRAT honoring the 2015 Professional Women and Women in Business

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Natasha Rivera has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Natasha
Rivera upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring the 2015 Professional Women and
Women in Business; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Walton High School in the Bronx, Natasha Rivera
attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Sullivan; via online
courses, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Chamberlain
College of Nursing; and
WHEREAS, After receiving her degree, Natasha Rivera returned to her
alma mater, SUNY Sullivan, and began working as the College's Nurse; and
WHEREAS, In this role, Natasha Rivera enjoys interacting with the
students and is always available to listen to their problems and help
them find a solution; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to the SUNY Sullivan community, Natasha Rivera
gives her time and energy to numerous college events and activities; she
also participates in the Walk for Breast Cancer; and
WHEREAS, When she is not working, Natasha Rivera enjoys exploring and
travelling with her family; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Michael, and her
son, Jayden, both of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and
rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Natasha Rivera, RN has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Natasha Rivera, RN upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring the 2015
Professional Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Natasha Rivera, RN.
