LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Anne Marie Willi upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
honoring the 2015 Professional Women and Women in Business
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Anne Marie Willi has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Anne Marie
Willi upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring the 2015 Professional Women and
Women in Business; and
WHEREAS, A native of Callicoon, New York, Anne Marie Willi graduated
from Delaware Valley High School; she learned how to make delicious
comfort food from the best cook and baker around, her mother; and
WHEREAS, Since the early 1970s, Anne Marie Willi and her husband, Tom,
have served in the hospitality industry; in the late 1980s, the couple
owned and operated an inn in Liberty, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 2001, Anne Marie and Tom Willi opened the White Sulphur
Springs Inn in Swan Lake, New York, where Anne Marie enjoys getting to
know her guests; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated member of the community in which she lives and
works, Anne Marie Willi is a vital member of the VFW Auxiliary; she also
sponsors a few softball teams, and likes to have the members come to the
Inn to relax after a game; and
WHEREAS, When she is not managing her Inn, Anne Marie Willi enjoys
spending time with her mother, playing golf and reading a good book; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband of 43 years,
Thomas, who feels privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in
her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Anne Marie Willi has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Anne Marie Willi upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring the 2015
Professional Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Anne Marie Willi.
