LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Michael Crinnin upon the occasion of his
retirement after more than 25 years of distinguished service as Execu-
tive Director of ACR Health

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Michael Crinnin upon the occasion of his retirement after more than 25
years of distinguished service as Executive Director of ACR Health to be
celebrated at an event held in his honor on Friday, April 1, 2016; and
WHEREAS, For over a quarter century, Michael Crinnin rendered faith-
ful, conscientious and valuable service as Executive Director of ACR
Health, a progressive human services provider committed to eliminating
health disparities and inequality in the Central, Northern, and Mohawk
Valley regions; and
WHEREAS, A native of Syracuse, New York, Michael Crinnin joined ACR
Health in 1989, dedicating his career to educating the Central New York
community about HIV and AIDS; and
WHEREAS, In his capacity as Executive Director, Michael Crinnin served
with loyalty, honor and distinction, while striving to help fulfill the
agency's mission of providing a range of support services to individuals
with chronic diseases, including HIV/AIDS, diabetes, heart disease,
substance use disorders and serious mental illnesses; and
WHEREAS, During his illustrious tenure, Executive Director Michael
Crinnin helped ACR Health expand both its programs and office locations
across more than nine counties; he has also guided the agency in provid-
ing a multitude of different services, including support for those in
the community with chronic diseases, and a syringe exchange program
which has helped dramatically decrease HIV infection rates; and
WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of his duties and responsibil-
ities, Michael Crinnin's ongoing efforts and notable achievements have
significantly contributed to bettering the quality of life in his commu-
nity; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Michael Crinnin has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality of life in the communities across this great State of New
York is enriched by the diligence and compassionate commitment of those
individuals whose singular purpose is the care and welfare of others;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Michael Crinnin upon the occasion of his retirement after more
than 25 years of distinguished service as Executive Director of ACR
Health; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Michael Crinnin.
