LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Prospect Park Alliance upon the occa-
sion of hosting its Annual PopUp Dinner Brooklyn to be held June 11,
2016

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body, in keeping with its
time-honored traditions, to recognize and pay tribute to those organiza-
tions which foster ethnic pride and enhance the profile of cultural
diversity which strengthens the fabric of the communities of New York
State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Prospect Park Alliance upon the occasion of hosting its Annual PopUp
Dinner Brooklyn to be held Saturday, June 11, 2016; the dinner will be
followed by entertainment and dancing; and
WHEREAS, Organized by Hand Made Events in partnership with the Pros-
pect Park Alliance, proceeds benefit the ongoing care and maintenance of
Prospect Park; and
WHEREAS, Equal parts impromptu soiree, outdoor dance party and DIY
showcase, PopUp Dinner Brooklyn invites you to dress in your fanciest
white clothes, and bring your classiest decor and tastiest dish to Pros-
pect Park; and
WHEREAS, The evening will truly reflect the diversity of New York City
and will host 6,000 attendees from not only the neighborhoods surround-
ing Prospect Park but from all over the five boroughs; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commemorate
those events which add strength, vigor and inspiration to the cultural
diversity and quality of life in the communities of the State of New
York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Prospect Park Alliance upon the occasion of hosting its Annual
PopUp Dinner Brooklyn to be held Saturday, June 11, 2016; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Prospect Park Alliance, and Hand Made Events.
