LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 30th Anniversary of LaPorta's
Pizzeria in Williamsville, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 30th Anniversary of LaPorta's Pizzeria in Williamsville, New
York; and
WHEREAS, In March of 1986, Pat and Mary LaPorta established LaPorta's
Pizzeria in Hopkins-Klein Plaza in Williamsville, New York, where they
quickly built an outstanding reputation for offering the highest quality
pizzas and Italian American specialties, all made with the freshest of
ingredients; and
WHEREAS, Pat and Mary LaPorta's two daughters have also contributed to
the success of LaPorta's Pizzeria, a true family business, throughout
its existence; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, LaPorta's Pizzeria has grown and expanded,
attracting a large number of extremely loyal customers and becoming an
integral part of its community; and
WHEREAS, In 2004, LaPorta's Pizzeria added an additional seating area
for its dine-in customers after acquiring the facility next door; and
WHEREAS, Today, this exceptional local institution is constantly
evolving as it strives to provide the best possible dining experience
for its guests while remaining authentic in its cuisine and true to its
long tradition of excellence; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to LaPorta's Pizze-
ria; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this remarkable business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced over the past three decades; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 30th Anniversary of LaPorta's Pizzeria in Williamsville,
New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Pat and Mary LaPorta, Owners, LaPorta's Pizzeria.
