LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 50th Annual Dansville Dogwood
Festival

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to honor and commem-
orate the proud and distinguished histories of the people and communi-
ties which comprise the noble body of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 50th Annual Dansville Dogwood Festival; and
WHEREAS, This historic festival takes place each year on the week
following Mother's Day, and is a terrific opportunity for members of the
community to come together to share stories and lots of laughs; and
WHEREAS, The Dansville Dogwood Festival continues to be the longest
running community event; it is highly attended and draws countless spec-
tators; and
WHEREAS, An essential part of this festival is the Annual Dogwood
Parade, which features fire departments, local bands, elected officials,
and other prominent community members who contribute immensely; and
WHEREAS, The Dansville Dogwood Festival would not be possible without
all of the dedicated Chamber of Commerce members who volunteer their
time and talent to organize the event, ensuring it is a complete
success; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly recog-
nize and honor milestones in the history of communities large and small
in this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 50th Annual Dansville Dogwood Festival; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Dansville Dogwood Festival Committee.
