LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Awestruck Ciders upon the occasion of
its designation as New Business of the Year by the Delaware County Cham-
ber of Commerce on May 6, 2016

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the achievements of individuals, organizations, and businesses
which contribute substantially to the economic health and vitality of
the communities of the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Awestruck Ciders upon the occasion of its designation as New Business of
the Year by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated on
Friday, May 6, 2016, at SUNY Delhi, Delhi, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to the
cooperative efforts of the business and residential community in
preserving the quality, character, and vitality of businesses in the
County of Delaware and, each year, proudly honors those in the communi-
ty, such as Awestruck Ciders, which helps to further these goals; and
WHEREAS, Established in 2013, by Patti Wilcox and Casey Vitti, Awes-
truck Ciders quickly outgrew their manufacturing facility in Walton and
recently relocated to Sidney, New York; and
WHEREAS, Two local kids, easy access to raw materials, a great idea,
and timing, produces a terrific product, Awestruck Cider is available at
stores and restaurants from New York City to the Canadian border; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges the success of Awestruck Ciders, recognizes its contributions to
the local and State economies, and fully confident that, in its future,
it will enjoy the same sparkling success which has so characterized its
past; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Awestruck Ciders upon the occasion of its designation as New Busi-
ness of the Year by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce on May 6,
2016; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Patti Wilcox and Casey Vitti, Owners, Awestruck Ciders.
