LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Quinn Mullarkey upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the Orange County Interscho-
lastic Athletic Association as a 2016 Senior Scholar-Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Quinn Mullar-
key upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2016 Senior
Scholar-Athlete; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Quinn Mullarkey has distin-
guished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
WHEREAS, Quinn Mullarkey, a student at Newburgh Free Academy, is
ranked 5th in her class with a 98.92 GPA; she participated in numerous
sports including volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse; and
WHEREAS, A member of National Honor Society, National Science Honor
Society, and National Spanish Honor Society, Quinn Mullarkey plans to
attend SUNY Buffalo and major in civil engineering; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to her community, Quinn Mullarkey enjoys giving of
her time and energy as a blood drive volunteer; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Quinn Mullarkey
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Quinn Mullarkey may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and
WHEREAS, Quinn Mullarkey represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Quinn Mullarkey upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2016 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in her future
endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Quinn Mullarkey.
