LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill
upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of the Corporate Part-
ner of the Year Award by the Neighborhood Technical Assistance Clinic
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those businesses within our midst who have
made significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals and businesses it wishes to recognize for
their valued contributions to the success and progress of society and
publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic
humanity among us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Golden Krust
Caribbean Bakery & Grill upon the occasion of its designation as recipi-
ent of the Corporate Partner of the Year Award by the Neighborhood Tech-
nical Assistance Clinic, to be celebrated at its 9th Annual Gala, A
Salute to New York City's Nonprofits and the Neighborhoods They Serve,
on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Giando on the Water, Brooklyn, New York;
and
WHEREAS, The Neighborhood Technical Assistance Clinic (NTAC) is a
strategic partner and advisor to philanthropists, foundations, govern-
ment and political entities, public institutions, grassroots nonprofit
organizations, and faith-based institutions wishing to improve their
programs and organizational effectiveness in addressing the needs of
low-income and service-starved communities; and
WHEREAS, In addition, NTAC provides consultation, strategic direction,
management, technical assistance and forums for increasing substantive
outcomes in all areas of human and financial investment; and
WHEREAS, Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill is known for providing
the world with authentic, Caribbean cuisine; and
WHEREAS, This vital business is being recognized for its steadfast and
unwavering support of NTAC, as well as for the establishment of the
Mavis & Ephraim Hawthorne Golden Krust Foundation, a nonprofit organiza-
tion with a mission to provide educational scholarships; and
WHEREAS, The success of Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill is in
direct correlation to the efforts of its executive team and staff, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the commu-
nity it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when businesses
of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention,
they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Corporate Partner of the Year Award by
the Neighborhood Technical Assistance Clinic; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill.
