LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Emily Casey upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Emily Casey upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a Young
Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, At the young age of 24, Emily Casey serves as the Institu-
tional Marketing Coordinator at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts; and
WHEREAS, Born, raised and currently resides in Livingston Manor, Emily
Casey is a member of a big family; she is the oldest of four and just
became an aunt; and
WHEREAS, Graduating from Livingston Manor Central School in 2010,
Emily Casey attended the University of Delaware where she graduated in
May of 2014, with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing; she also
minored in advertising; and
WHEREAS, Emily Casey traveled abroad on a Semester at Sea through the
University of Virginia and she taught English in Peru; she considers
herself many things, with outdoor adventurer, wannabe bookworm, and food
enthusiast among them; and
WHEREAS, She truly believes long runs solve problems and bad jokes are
the best ones; she dislikes cats and selfish people and likes puns,
handwritten notes, peanut butter, and her big loud family; her fondest
memories include the Callicoon Center family house; and
WHEREAS, As the Institutional Marketing Coordinator at Bethel Woods
Center for the Arts, Emily Casey handles the marketing for the Museum,
Education and Outreach Department, Volunteer Services, and Development
and Membership; she also helps with the shows; and
WHEREAS, Emily Casey's job changes from day to day, everything from
writing press releases, to website edits, sending e-blasts, placing ads,
producing collateral materials, coordinating radio visits, setting up
interviews, dealing with press requests, and posting to social media;
and
WHEREAS, She believes in the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts mission
which is to inspire, educate, and empower individuals through the arts
and humanities; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Emily Casey upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Emily Casey.
