LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Forest Darder upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Forest Darder upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Forest Darder, the owner and operator of Darder Stone Works,
was selected for this esteemed recognition for being hardworking, ambi-
tious, and creative; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Delaware Valley Central School, Forest Darder
earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Syracuse University
in 2004; and
WHEREAS, After college, Forest Darder was employed as a construction
consultant in Westchester County; after realizing he wanted to work
outside, he established Darder Stone Works, a stone masonry service
company which strives to provide exemplary customer satisfaction, crea-
tive design and top quality construction to its loyal clientele; and
WHEREAS, For the past 11 years, Forest Darder and his staff have built
numerous stone walls, bluestone patios, intricate steps and waterfalls
at both residential and commercial properties throughout Sullivan,
Orange, and Ulster counties; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Courtney, and his two
children, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Forest Darder upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Forest Darder.
