LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Matt Lare upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Matt
Lare upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a Young
Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Matt Lare, the manager of the Lazy Pond Bed & Breakfast in
Liberty, New York, was selected for this esteemed recognition for being
hardworking, ambitious, and creative; and
WHEREAS, The youngest of seven children born and raised in Liberty,
Matt Lare attended high school in Florida, however, he returned to his
hometown during the summers; after graduation, he permanently moved back
to New York; and
WHEREAS, Six years ago, Matt Lare began working full-time at his
parent's family business, the Lazy Pond Bed & Breakfast, a position
which eventually evolved into the role of manager; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, Matt Lare maintains the property, striving
to meet the standards which make Lazy Pond Bed & Breakfast so special,
and ensuring his guests have a stellar vacation; and
WHEREAS, Open all year round, the renowned B & B is comprised of 28
rooms which offer privacy and relaxation to his guests; in addition,
Matt Lare proudly cooks custom made omelets at the elaborate breakfast
buffet; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to the children of his community, Matt Lare plans
on opening a Youth Center in Liberty, offering local kids a place to
participate in sports and create art projects; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Matt Lare upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Matt Lare.
