LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Immaculata Academy for more than 88
years of excellence in education to the Hamburg, New York, community on
June 24, 2016

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of commitment and high achievement whose
purpose and endeavors prove a dedication to the pursuit of excellence in
the education of the youth of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Immaculata Academy for more than 88 years of excellence in education to
the Hamburg, New York, community to be celebrated at a prayer service
and reception on Friday, June 24, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Although this year marks the closing of this illustrious
school, the administration, faculty and staff may look back and proudly
know that it has been an integral part of the history of the Hamburg
community; since 1928, Immaculata Academy has represented a dynamic,
responsive and positive force within the educational system of New York
State; and
WHEREAS, Since its establishment, Immaculata Academy has provided a
unique educational program for young women to prepare them academically,
morally, and spiritually for the challenges facing them today, as well
as the future; and
WHEREAS, Immaculata Academy is a private, Catholic, college-preparato-
ry high school that has been dedicated to educating young women based on
Franciscan values; with a family spirit, its goal for each student is
that she maximize her potential academically, spiritually and
personally, so as to be an instrument of positive change in society; and
WHEREAS, The staff and administration at Immaculata Academy has
strived to create relationships which promote dignity, mutual respect,
cooperation, and appreciation of individual differences; the school
sends forth young women leaders who have a strong sense of their identi-
ty, and an appreciation for others' uniqueness; and
WHEREAS, The steadfast and unyielding commitment of parents, educators
and administrators to provide the highest quality education for students
has been the hallmark and tradition of Immaculata Academy; and
WHEREAS, Immaculata Academy's distinguished record merits the recogni-
tion and respectful tribute of this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Immaculata Academy for more than 88 years of excellence in
education to the Hamburg, New York, community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Immaculata Academy.
