LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Annette Colasunno upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Business Person of the Year Award by
the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce and the Pleasantville community

WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in acknowledging its
esteemed residents who have distinguished themselves in their profession
and in their communities; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Annette Cola-
sunno upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Business
Person of the Year Award by the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce and
the Pleasantville community which was celebrated during an event at
Trattoria 160 on Wednesday, April 27, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Annette Colasunno has exhibited the true spirit of the pres-
tigious Business Person of the Year Award through her impressive success
and her tireless dedication to the community; and
WHEREAS, Annette Colasunno opened the Lil' Chocolate Shoppe on
Manville Road in 1986; the Shoppe moved to its current location on Wash-
ington Avenue more than 20 years ago; and
WHEREAS, The Lil' Chocolate Shoppe offers personal, one-of-a-kind
designed chocolates for all occasions; and
WHEREAS, Customers may choose from a wide variety of boxed chocolates,
gourmet truffles, and seasonal and holiday-themed treats for gifts and
favors for anniversaries, birthdays, and weddings; and
WHEREAS, Annette Colasunno has also contributed her time and expertise
as a chocolate-making instructor for the Chappaqua, Briarcliff, and
Armonk Recreation Departments; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, this remarkable woman contributes generously to
the Northern Westchester Shelter, Pleasantville Food Pantry, and Rosary
Hill Hospice; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Annette Colasunno upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the Business Person of the Year Award by the Pleasantville Cham-
ber of Commerce and the Pleasantville community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Annette Colasunno.
