LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Ian Dominguez-Ball upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the Senior Scholar Humanities Award by
the Orange-Ulster BOCES on April 28, 2016
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Ian Domin-
guez-Ball upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Senior Scholar Humanities Award by the Orange-Ulster BOCES which was
celebrated at its Third Annual Awards Breakfast, on Thursday, April 28,
2016, at Kuhl's Highland House, Middletown, New York; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious award recognizes outstanding high school
students for their accomplishments and/or performances in the arts,
including fine arts, theater, and music; and
WHEREAS, Ian Dominguez-Ball has distinguished himself as a young man
of superlative ability, talent, and maturity, establishing standards of
excellence and achievement, purposefulness of life, and responsibility
rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Ian Dominguez-Ball is planning on attending Point Park
University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this fall and majoring in
Musical Theater; and
WHEREAS, Currently, Ian Dominguez-Ball is the President of Meister-
singers Honors Choir and an active member of the Drama Club; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Ian Dominguez-Ball has been a member of All-
County Chorus, Area All-State Chorus and All-State Chorus for the 2015-
2016 school year; and
WHEREAS, Ian Dominguez-Ball has been a part of every show that was
produced during his four years in Warwick Valley High School, and has
had several leads including Donkey in "Shrek" and Chad in "All Shook
Up"; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for his classmates, Ian Dominguez-
Ball has brought honor to his family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Ian Dominguez-Ball may stand with pride in his achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as he contin-
ues his education; and
WHEREAS, Ian Dominguez-Ball represents the potential inherent in our
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to
honor this young man, recognizing his achievements and the promise of
his future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ian Dominguez-Ball upon the occasion of his designation as recipi-
ent of the Senior Scholar Humanities Award by the Orange-Ulster BOCES,
and to wish him well in his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ian Dominguez-Ball.
