LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Alex Ashley upon the occasion of being
named Employee of the Year by the Canton-Potsdam Hospital
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who are devoted to the welfare of their community and its citizen-
ry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Alex
Ashley upon the occasion of being named Employee of the Year by the
Canton-Potsdam Hospital; and
WHEREAS, Alex Ashley is a radiation therapist at Canton-Potsdam Hospi-
tal and has been recognized for his contributions to the hospital which
include the implementation of a radiotherapy education program for
hospital mammography technologists; and
WHEREAS, Alex Ashley has accepted the position of site Radiation Ther-
apy Program Clinical Supervisor for SUNY Upstate Medical University, and
in that role he will oversee students completing their clinical training
at Canton-Potsdam Hospital; and
WHEREAS, Alex Ashley was honored for making patient safety and quality
his number one priority, and for his technical proficiency and sensitiv-
ity in providing physical and psychological comfort to his patients;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Alex Ashley upon the occasion of being named Employee of the Year
by the Canton-Potsdam Hospital; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Alex Ashley.
